Hair Dryness

Recently, I have been going to the gym at night then showering afterwards.  I then end up ting my hair back and going about  my business.  My hair ends up getting a little, well dandruffy.  So that stinks.

I ended up searching for home remedies to quickly get rid of it.

One suggestion, that I thought made sense, was rubbing baking soda on it.  It changes the pH of your scalp and, because it's abrasive, will dislodge any flakes.

Sadly it has left my hair a little duller and with a lot more fly-aways.

Of course I once again look into natural remedies (tend to be cheap and already in the house).

While looking into the large array of sites that offer the suggestions of what to put into your hair, (ie: mayo, oil, vinegar, honey, eggs, etc.) I found that this site explained it very well.  The blogger, Becky, does a good job separating the different types of conditioners (acids, proteins, and oils) and explains each types purpose.

Hopefully, the results of this search will solve my current hair issues without creating any new ones. (I learned I need to put proteins in my hair to solve my issues.  #fingerscrossed)

A Bit of Advice

I wish before I had gone live with this blog, I had finalized the layout of this.  Now in addition to posting, I want to modify and perfect the layout.

So tip to those who are thinking about starting to blog: I would definitely modify then go live.

The one I currently have (it's called Sorbet, in case you were wondering), I have to determine how to eliminate the preview and have it show my entire post.  #thingstodointhefuture
Also I need to edit the buttons on the top right....I don't know where they lead or if they're connected to anything of mine.

A lot of work I wish I did before.

Abstract

I started this blog so I can chronicle my journey.

It's still the first month of the new year, 2015.  A popular trend, that at least my friends like to mock, is the saying, new year new me.

I don't want it to just be a new me for a year.

I started in November.  I want to be better.  I want to be healthier.  I just want to be a better person.

So what are my goals?  This is an abstract after all! (a wordy one at that - not very science-y of me)

First, my new years resolution for 2015 is to read a book a month.  I haven't been reading for pleasure consistently for a while now, and I want to change that.  what a better opportunity than now.

Secondly, my  goal is to be able to run a 5k by August 8th.  I signed up for the Warrior Dash, and want to be able to run it.  I have plenty of time to learn to be able to.  But, no time like the present to start.

Hopefully this leads to a whole new me.

Hopefully forever.
